Immigration and Higher Education Policy

This module introduces students to immigration and higher education policy. It starts by providing an analysis of the demographics pertaining to the unauthorized community including geographic concentration, role in the workforce, and educational attainment trends. The course is then structured to familiarize students with the various reasons for unauthorized migration. Next, policies that govern entrance to and permanent residency in this country are examined.

Organization and Leadership: Issues and Challenges

This module seeks to explore the organizational complexities present as institutions are faced with reconciling their historic mission of inclusion for underrepresented students with a volatile set of sociopolitical pressures surrounding educational opportunity for undocumented immigrant students.
